Soccer Assist is an award winning organisation that has been helping student-athletes achieve their potential since 2014.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to create an elite environment that attracts, retains and develops top quality players. We provide an ongoing supply of academy graduates to Scholarships in the US and into first team and non-league football. We ensure that those individuals who fall short of this standard leave with the necessary skills, qualities and education to enable them to achieve success either through higher education or in a vocational career.

Our Objectives

  • Provide student/athletes the chance to experience a full-time football program that mirrors an EFL scholarship

Junior Osei-Tutu

Academy Manager

After successfully completing a Bachelor of Arts degree, in Business Management, at Walsh University (Ohio),  Junior moved back to the U.K. to co-found Soccer Assist. Throughout his time in the U.S. he attained the skills and knowledge required to manage and operate a team.

He has successfully built a thriving Academy that offers aspiring student-athletes the opportunity to fulfill their full potential and prepare them for their future endeavours.   

Junior has been mentioned as one of the Top 20 young entrepreneurs in Startups U.K., featured in publications such as Business Advice and FIFA, and has worked with some of the world’s leading sport brands.

Tyrelle Mcleod Bentley

International Recruitment Director

After studying a Business Management degree in the U.S. at Olympic College & West Virginia Tech University, Tyrelle moved on to play professionally in Sweden. In 2014 he was Young Enterprise business award winner and named one of the under-30s rising sport executives in the U.K., by the Sports Industry Group.

Prior to co-founding Soccer Assist, Tyrelle helped many CEOs and entrepreneurs to build illustrious businesses working for the Supper Club, part of Prelude Group in London.

Joe Oxley

Head Coach

Joe Oxley is a UEFA A licensed football coach, and football production consultant, with 12+ years coaching experience; including 5 years within the youth development phase of the academy at Luton Town Football club leading the U14, U15, and U16 age groups.

Representing, delivering and contributing to a progressive coaching program and club philosophy, he has helped to produce several players who have represented their country at youth level, moved to Premier league clubs and made their professional debuts.

Joe has worked on global football projects alongside a number of international players including James Rodriguez, Miralem Panic and Gareth Bale. Working throughout 2017/2018 with Adidas, UEFA Champions League and a host of Europe’s biggest clubs including Real Madrid and Juventus.

Alongside this, 8 years of experience developing and co-coordinating award-winning educational programming with the Winch, and The Princes Trust have afforded Joe vast leadership experience, and the opportunity to work closely with groups of young people daily.

This coupled perspective provide him with an in-depth understanding of modern football, and the characteristics and experience to produce exceptional young players and outstanding young men.

Gedeon Okito

Academy Coach

Gedeon has spent his whole life in football. He has an extensive playing background; grassroots in Ireland before signing for Milton Keynes Dons Football Club. Gedeon has played non league football for Dunstable Town, Banbury and AFC Dunstable. 

Gedeon is a UEFA B licensed football coach and has coached at MK Dons Academy since 2015. His relatableness, work ethic and personality helps build rapport with our student-athletes and maximises their work rate.

Daniel Naylor

Academy Coach

Daniel has experience playing with the likes of Watford FC, MK Dons and currently Oxford City Football Club. Daniel is a graduate of a full-time football and education programme – so understands the demands of a professional environment.

Daniel works closely with our academy athletes; his coaching style focuses on development as well as the performance of each individual. He brings energy to all sessions and expects the same from his players. A positive attitude is what Daniel stands by and players who are willing to go the extra mile. Dan is a UEFA C licensed football coach.

Ben Watts

International Football Development Manager 

Ben Watts is a UEFA A licence holder along with several other FA certifications. Ben boasts over 20 years of experience in International recruitment and coaching. Ben’s had success in bringing players in from all over the World into the professional game.

Ben has coached at Professional clubs at the Academy level including; Northampton Town, Peterborough United and Leicester City. Ben also has several years of experience in Senior Football within the English Football system.

Ben’s main focus is continuing to look to recruit both Male and Female players to join the Soccer Assist Academy.

Beth Adams

Academy Sports Therapist

Beth is the Graduate Sport Therapist for the Soccer Assist Academy. She graduated from the University of Chichester in 2020 with a Distinction in MSci Sports Therapy as well as earning her Level 2 Gym Instructors Award and Level 3 Exercise Referral Qualification. Whilst at University, she worked with the Men’s Futsal Team as their Sports Therapist and S&C Coach.

As part of her Master’s, she joined MK Dons Academy as their student Sports Therapist, working predominantly with the U18s. After graduating, she joined MK Dons Women’s as their Senior Sports Therapist, whilst also working with the Academy and The Sport and Education Trust. As a therapist Beth has a keen interest in late-stage rehabilitation, she enjoys working with players not only to get them back on the pitch as soon as possible, but to also help them return as a better athlete.
